i went to monash tday...
in case you all din noe, i'm finishing my diploma in 5 months time...
and i was planning to go to monash to finish up my degree...

so i prepared everything...my results..my slips....my study syllabus.
EVERYTHING...
and i went to monash...

monash told me that they may not be able to accept me into their programme.
because my diploma is "design" base...
and i was shocked.
coz i was told from the very start that IT IS ACCEPTABLE!!!

my college said i can switch...
the monash ppl during the education fair said so too.
same wit the kdu ppl n inti...
i was told tat i can switch over.

and now i'm slammed in the face with this piece of crap!
if my diploma isnt accepted.
i do not have any other choice but to start all over from foundation...
FOUNDATION!!!
after 2&half years!!

suddenly feels like shit! wasted.
haih...
i tot choose this course was the right thing..
as in like i had everything planned...
the whole way thru.
now it jus feels so messed up.

kor went to malacca d...
so i went to work alone tday...
it was real sweet of him...coz he had to chao around 6...
i normally wake up around 6.30...

so before he leaves, he attempted in waking me up and tell me where he place the key, parking tag n stuff... but i was too blurr to bangun...
so he went n put all his stuff on the table...
n msg-ed me before he left...

sumore when i went to work, he called...
"wake up d bo?" "reach d bo?" "gt parking bo?" "eat breakfast bo?"
dunno, mayb coz i wasnt very close wit my bro all these years....
i'm glad i shifted to damansara.

it was like coll all over again.
compile all the ads, target audience, key msg, usp, direction....yadda yadda yadda...
wat i din expect was...
OMG the ads BERLAMBAK!!! so much!!!!!
tak habis habis i buat!!!

seriously felt like coll's research assignment....
or the pre-strat planning research we had to do last time before we do any campaign...
and it took my whole day....
still tak habis...

Day 8 - Mon, 160608

whoa...tday was busy busy busy busy busy busy busy...
i like being at bozell... coz they let me join in everything..
like being really involved.
:)

plus L&J are really nice, they'll explain the stuff that they do...
they talk to me bout their experience...
the good clients.... and the not-so-good ones who will be harsh and mean.
but thats the works of client servicing.

its rather inspiring in a way...like wat L says.

"its hard, and you gotta be tough to take on client servicing. its really challenging as in u meet diff ppl. and you have to work with them, observe how they are as a person. even the really mean & difficult clients. you'll resent them and hate them, but by the end of the day when everything is over, the sense of accomplishment is so high."

this morning the 1st thing we did was sit in a meeting, it was like an overview of all the new ads that came out during the last week. our VA pro, Pz. he's really funny..and really nice too... after that we had a meeting for our "work-in-progress"...that was exhausting!!! like every acc reports on the status of their jobs...whats new, whats on the way, which wan need editing...which one redo... stuff like that...

after that i did a job req for UB leaftlet, sent them out...straight after that we ran to the UB's TVC discussion with our creative director, CS. he's real nice. he reminds me of one of our funky lecs last time...he has wonderful sensitivity to art, sense, visual, copy ...everything... i use to rmb when our lec had to mark this ad for us, he jus look at it... if he likes it...he likes it! if he doesnt, theres nthg you can do to change his mind... and he's always right!!!

meetin with the radio operator rep was intersting. basically they presented to us a radio survey that they did la... which states which station, their target audience and how are they doin lo...and which segments are open for advertisers and all....

THENNNN...ada lagi...kita brain storm....brain storm byk byk...brain storm until brain oso no juice...continuos 2 campigns...2 sessions... O.O...loads of yelling n screaming,,,jus to de-stress... omg the cursings too...
wahahaha...

ITS FRIDAAAY!!!

did a job req for another new campaign for PM....
den there was sum revision for some PB's ad...
den the whole afternoon i jus bugged the artist for the work to be done...
i swear he's gonna hate me reaaaaaal bad....

tday was pretty much ayyyokaay la...
nthg much...

morning was kinda a bummer...coz i had nthg to do...
i'm currently handling only PB&PM acc. so......
the whole morning they so good..din kacau me...
i pulak sitting at my desk mengantuk!

den right before lunch they called in to edit sum stuff!! YAY!
so i quickly did their job revision....
den i went for uber expensive lunch...

evening was pretty exciting.
i went to watch the shooting for another's acc advert.

Day 3 - wed, 110608

J came tday.
so i finally did met her. she's nice, kesian her coz her son was sick.... :(

she was uber nice tho. after following up on some amendments on PM's ad. J brought me out for the presentation! we went to Sri Damansara. it was interesting for me, as i was able to see how a presentation to the client actually is.

i was introduced as "the intern" ... =.="
and now i'm told that i'll be handling the PM&PB accounts lo...
not as in I'm incharge of the things la... =.=" crazy a?
ahahah...but it means my job scope is for the PB&PM acc lo...
which is a pretty big acc.... :)

PM briefed us on a new ad campaign...
after that, i learnt to do my 1st job requisition, which is like a job brief la...
for whoever that is in my team for this new job lo...
sial..i nvr did before... so i went to this "files corner" and dug out all the past job req.s lo...
hoho....like siao po liddat...

but....usual la... me siao wan... i enjoyed it...

whoa...tday was a busy busy busy day...

eventho i arrived at phileo damansara at 7.40 am....

stuff learnt today "JOB REVISION"...
this is when we show the client the ad and the client wants us to edit sum stuff...
thus "revising" the ad...

hoho...tday had been a day full of em.
i think we did around 6...
sial...
i type type type until i pengsan...

talking to the client one on one was abit tension coz i couldnt call the shots...
so i basically listen, take note den discuss with the director...
den we do the changes...and i email the client...
and call them again...
and the circle goes on and on until we're finalize.

oh...today i found out my last 2 piece of roti...ADA FUNGUS!!!!
ewww...scary...coz my mom made em...so no preservatives...
scary...the FUNGUS grow soooo fast...
this morning when i made my bread...it was ok...
then lunch i saw 3 spots....
when i reach home...
IT TURN YELLOW & GREEN!!!!

1st day of internship

In case you din noe...
I'm currenty doin my internship in Bozell Worldwide, Phileo Damansara 2.

First day was not too shabby. :)

Bro teman me tday... let me tail him to work... :)
den he balanja me makan breakfast..yummy....

reached phileo around 8...but edi no parking...had to walk far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far...
around 20 mins walk... haih...

Came in at around 9am, The office manager Ms C brought me to my seat and introduced me to L. I'm technically under the Ms C but I'm attached to L and J.

Due to the fact that the week had just started, and J is on leave today. What I did today was to look through the past documents and files of accounts, clients and campaign. I went through the job requisition, job revisions and finals. I've also look through the past advertisements and campaign in the recent few years.

L briefed me on what to do around 10am. We were rushing some amendments on some clients(basically went in and out of creative dept asking hem to edit this and edit that) and we had to rush to send it off to the press before lunch.

one thing about this advertising agency,
Y NOBODY GO EAT LUNCH WAN!?!?!
its like already 1 smthg 2 o clock but every one still busy wan wo...
luckily i gt bring bread..if nt seijor.....

After that Ms C came and introduced me as well as brought me around the place (acc , creative , finance , traffic, va, the library, the meeting rooms, the pantry, the "process room") oh...and the hidden toilets!!! I couldn't find the toilets. (how was i to know when the "gents" were labeled "heroes" and the "ladies" were labeled "heroin"??)
hohoho.... doors that aren't doors.. toilets with super heroes as labels...
interesting...

When i was back from the introduction, the print was ready and mounted, so I just photocopied them up. Then they brought a lot a lot of books and magazines and archives for me, and that was wat i did for the rest of my day.

bro was uber nice coz i had to work abit late...
he waited for me and drove me to my car coz he say dangerous for me to walk...
awww... :)

after weeks of on-and-off planning.

countless times of discussing while driving that i'll forget to send siewkuan home.
